The design concept for this ad was to create a social media advertisement that would catch the attention of the target audience and inform them of Scoop Shoppe’s services and ice-cream alternatives. The target audience (kids, teens, families, and anyone with dietary restrictions) desired simplicity in both message and design, a call-to-action that was easy to read, and photos that showed teenagers and children and reflected racial and ethnic diversity among them. The advertisements message was meant to inform the audience of the online-ordering and delivery services as well as the ingredients and lactose and vegan friendly options Scoop Shoppe provides. To accomplish this, I used shapes to create hierarchy and put emphasis on certain messages like the call-to-action button. I used photos of a teenager and child with background colors that would go well with the color palette and would create balance despite the asymmetrical boxes I used for the sections and images. I animated the call-to-action button and the other text box in order to be more eye-catching and used colors, images, and wording provided by the "client" (this was an assignment for my Multi-channel Advertising class).
